Easy Peasy Recipe Wednesday

by Shelley

Will you join me for a little experiment?

I think a Linky Party might be a great way for us to share easy recipes with each other!  And, to sweeten the proverbial pot, I will give a free gift to the first 5 ladies to post on our Easy Peasy Recipe Linky!

Girlhood indeed has a beauty all it’s own... and one of the things that makes it beautiful is the freedom to practice cooking and not to worry about messing up! It’s a time to experiment, to dabble in the unknown, to go out on a limb and try something new.  Cooking is something mom and daughter can do together!  Below, I would like you to share a link to a recipe on your blog or even a post on cooking!

To make our recipe swap happen use the Linky below. Don’t be scared! Just make sure you share your link, make certain it goes right to your post, image, and title…easy!

Now let’s link up  your favorite  Easy Peasy Recipes. But before you do, I have just a few gentle suggestions….

  • Follow B’twixt and B’tween  This is just another way to keep the lines of communication open! We have a couple of ways you can follow such as Facebook and Twitter. Or, you can Subscribe and receive  notifications by email every time B&B has a new post! emails as well!
  • Your link should be an Easy Recipe If you have a recipe and think it is “Easy Peasy” then link it! And I would ask that you NOT link to your homepage, items you are selling, or giveaways.
  • Use our B’twixt and B’tween Button  When you put this on your blog it really helps to spread word about Easy Peasy Recipe Wednesday and more people will link up.
  • Try some of the Easy Peasy recipes  And while your at it take pictures of your cooking creation! We will share them on Fridays.

This is by far my favorite go-to (the frito-lay bean dip). It’s good as a refried beans recipe, or as a filler for soft tacos, or for nachos, or for dipping.

I didn’t really leave a recipe but a story about a recipe. We had decided to bake on Wednesday, calling it What’s Bakin’ Wednesdays. This Wednesday we are using a cake mix to make cupcakes, and planning to bring Apples for the Teacher cupcakes to Professor Daddy’s C.S. Lewis class.

Love the idea…would you consider posting a picture of you and your girls with the Apple for the Teacher Cupcakes?

We enjoy two snacks each day in our homeshcool. So, I have posted a quick and easy recipe for Tortilla Crisps. Four ingredients and just a few minutes of work and you are ready for a light, enjoyable, and healthy snack.

Mine is so easy peasy, I am going to type it up. One of my daughters favorite recipes only has two ingredients. This was the first dish that Catie learned how to make on her own.

Queso dip
1lb Velveeta cheese
1 – 10 oz can of Rotel (diced tomato’s and diced green chiles)
Cut up Velveeta into smaller squares and place in a crockpot (or on the stove in a pan, on low) Stir frequently, until melted through. Use to dip for chips, or veggies or even to put on your Mexican dishes. Queso for enchilada’s is yummy too!

Enjoy!
