Easy Peasy Recipe Wednesday 6

by Shelley

Fall time means apples to me. My children and I would make a weekly trip to an apple orchard in our area and purchase bushels of apples. We ate them just like they were, fried, in apple cake, and in our oatmeal.

My daughter just celebrated her third wedding anniversary {Congratulations Laura and Torry} At her wedding banquet, we made over 200 Candied Apples to serve as place cards.  I have this sticky sweet memory of her and I making these treats for her guests.

Do you have any recipes with apples? Share them along with others this week!

Girlhood indeed has a beauty all it’s own... and one of the things that makes it beautiful is the freedom to practice cooking and not to worry about messing up!

It’s a time to experiment,

to dabble in the unknown,

to go out on a limb and try something new.

Cooking is something mom and daughter can do together!

This is a wonderfully moist apple cake that freezes well. I’ll be making three of them this week!
