Crafty Girls ~ Simple Skirt 3

by Shelley

Ah, here we are at week three and the last of Melinda Martin from Musings of a Ministers Wife posts on three easy sewing projects. Each project, as you know, has built on each other and culminates with this Simple Skirt!

This simple skirt can be sewn for your daughter, for a little sister, and even for yourself! You all could have look alike skirts! How is that for an idea.

Please stop by and thank Melinda at her blog for all her hard work creating these fun and easy projects for beginning sewing. Here is Melinda’s bio.

Melinda Martin has lived a life full of mistakes and has only survived by God’s amazing grace. She “retired” from the corporate world three years ago and has since been making more mistakes in the avenues of homeschooling and running an online business. God has recently blessed her and set her peace-shod feet on a journey to becoming a minister’s wife. Follow along with her as she blogs about this experience over at www.MusingsOfAMinistersWife.wordpress.com. To offset her serious posts, she supplements with fun things like recipes and how to siphon gas from your lawnmower.

This looks like a great skirt…and easy. I have never sewn clothing before…I have a lot of experience in piecing and quilting though. My oldest daughter does not like to wear skirts or dresses, but she does want to make this skirt for her sister’s birthday and a matching pair of skimmers for herself. So I think we will try it! Thanks for the tutorial!
